  1. Really liked the ‘pix’ and used the tp5 pix for a season..best ball for me is definitely the ProV1 though, it can’t be beat off the tee. It’s firm but soft at the same time where I find the tp5 is really soft and x is quite hard and clicky.

  2. I went with the TP5x because I'm a high spin player and I like a little run on short chips and pitch.
I like everything about the profile of the TP5 ball. I prefer a softer and lower launch ball but the spin that it produces was an absolute no go for me.

I also prefer the 'pix' over the stripe. The 'Pix' has been a game changer when it comes to lining up putts without being too distracting. The stripe just doesn't fit me when I am over a putt.

  3. Good info here. I'm just getting back into golf after some time away. Currently I have some various Vice models I'm trying to see how I like. From reviews I've seen their price points are hard to beat.

  4. Great info Chris 👌
Would love to see a course vlog, you playing a few holes ⛳️🏌️‍♂️

  5. Just gamed the Tour Response Tour Stripe balls yesterday,
Love the alignment aid with the stripe on there. Especially on the tee and putting. Probably loved the stripe the most for putting, but all the shots in between that, it just didn’t suit my eye. Was pretty hard for me to track the flight(s) through the air. I’m guessing that was more to do with the white color, as I’d normally game a TP5/TP5x in solid yellow. Between the 3 ball types in this vid, most golfers should be covered for their needs in a ball. I might give the Tour Response in solid yellow a try at some point, as it’s a good ball. Right now my preferred choice is the TP5 (yellow) as far as feel goes. I seem to like that the best, though for sure spins too much at times, which is more of me than the ball I think.

  6. I finally found the Tour Response Stripe in stock and I've been testing it a lot lately. It has to be said that I have fallen in love with it! The feel, the flight, the looks, and it has quite a bit more short game spin than last year's model workout a doubt. All 3 of my playing partners couldn't believe how much check I was getting on short chip and pitch shots with it. The craziest part of that is that I have two dozen TP5 Pix sitting on my shelf and prefer the Stripe personally for my game. I just don't think I have the swing speed (around 95 – 96 mph with driver) to get the most out of the 5 layer TP5 options but maybe I'm wrong, Trottie?! What swing speed will compress the softer TP5 enough to utilize the technology? I know the TP5x isn't an option for me.

  7. great video trottie!! people don't realize how important a golf ball fitting is..getting the right golf ball makes a huge difference!!

  8. Just wondering how the tour response will compare or what the negatives would be of a high swing speed player 120 mph on driver. 90s shooter and lose a lot of balls so don’t know if I should spend the money on a tp5 or tp5x

  9. Great advice Trottie! I’ll reiteratethe importance of fitting the ball to your wedges/irons and then fitting the driver head (and loft/lie) around the ball.

  10. Good video.

I am a mid-40 y.o, low handicap player with a slower swing speed and I must admit, I highly rate the Tour Response Stripe.

That being said, I wouldn't mind a higher spin ball for firmer conditions so, Trottie, do you know if the TP5 / TP5x will be released c/w Stripe in the near future?

I am assuming TM will do so as I think they have really "cracked a nut" here.

One suggestion: slightly alter the colour of the stripe so it is less green … as you can miss the ball in longer grass.

    Keep up the good work.

  11. Great information! But how would you handle very cold temperatures? Up here in Minnesota we’re playing in 40 degrees at the moment. Low compression ball? If so, which one? Thanks

  12. Always a great watch Trottie, currently giving the Tour Response Stripe a go (driver speed 105-110mph)
