  1. That was interesting, and I completely agree that women golfers seem to be the worst served in terms of fitting. What I found most interesting was the difference between the numbers and how the golfer reacted. The numbers tell us that the i80 (a shaft I play and is wonderfully stable) was the best shaft – highest ball speed, highest smash factor, most spin, highest ball flight, most distance (although the data set is probably not large enough for it to be statistically significant and averages are a great way of confusing things) but it was obvious from the first 3 or 4 swings that this was not the iron shaft for Mya
