  1. If Eveliina puts in serious time on putting practice and gets back to the form she had in previous years she is gonna be very competitive in the future.

  2. 38:33 should have inserted cricket sounds. It's only a matter of time before Small Bore Outlaw makes a compilation of Evelina's terrible putts this year.

  3. Yea its tough to watch the yips. and YES there are some VERY short misses that it's hard to imagine a top tier pro missing… But I'd add that it is also can be contagious… when multiple players are struggling with the putt the whole card can lose a little mojo.

With a number of the top dogs (Pierce, Tattar, Allen etc) not in the field, some of these players are facing lead card final round nerves that they might not be as accustomed to. But like, every comment in here is about it. (And now mine is too)

    I'll add, I love Macie's game! She's a baller.

  4. What other sports gives it's top players the small humiliation of having to crawl inside a prickly hedge? Disc golf is the best 🙂

  5. Putting practice will help Evelina, yes. But it's not just getting lots of reps. To fix the yips, she needs to find a new mental "trick" to use while putting — something new/different she can focus on when she releases… whether that's finger placement/pressure or some other small detail. It's 100% mental so she just needs to get into a different mindset. Right now, all she is thinking is "don't miss this easy gimme putt"

  6. I notice a common putting issue with the European girls late in the rounds this season. So much so it seems they are shaving strokes. It's happening every tournament

  7. I appreciate that commentary style preference is very personal; some fans like more chatter, some like less. I was criticising the previous two rounds but found the commentary this round so far really good. Sorry to Holly and Sarah for sounding like a total ingrate in the previous two rounds, and thanks for what you're doing in this round thumbs up
I sympathise so much with Eveliina's putting woes. I hope that she gets the support/guidance she needs from someone she trusts. She's absolutely amazing nonetheless, probably most killer sidearm on tour, and always a joy to watch on coverage! No missed putt can take away from that, in my humble opinion.

  8. Right out the gate, hole 1. Missy is about to putt. I'm saying NO YOU ARE NOT… yes, yes, she was.

  9. Sarah and Holly, perhaps you should call out those who had a hot round at the end. Emily shot -7! Ella at -4 was playing pretty hot too. And there was this Holly girl who also shot under par. 😉 Give em some love!

  10. These commentators need to act like commentators not friends. I'm so tired of hearing about how good a layup from 30 feet is or how good the shot selection was in a wide open field.

  11. This commentary has a ways to go. I feel they are heaping praise on the players, even on crappy shots, which is tone deaf and does not prop up the female players but rather undercuts their legitimacy a bit. I really enjoy watching FPO coverage as much as MPO, but the commentary on MPO is far better. Nathan Queen and Chandler Frye were very professional (not quite polished yet) and discuss mechanics, techniques, what kind of angle the next shot will have, wind direction and more. Holly and Sarah could discuss those kinds of things a bit more instead of saying 'great shot' after each shot no matter how good it is. A bit disconnected from reality. Congrats to these players on making it to this card, a true accomplishment in itself.

  12. For everyone curious about Salonen's putts (yes, it's baffling), take some time to check out the Finnish championship coverage on Gatekeeper Media. They posted most of the rounds during the off season and have MPO and FPO coverage. Salonen's putting is much more confident and competent there, so it seems it has to be a mental or physical thing that has materialized recently. I really feel for her and hope she can find a way to overcome it.

  13. This commentary is just especially sad this round. The others were not great but whatever. The absolute coddling of these pros missing wide open lines by saying "that's okay" and the constant "misfire by ____, but that's okay" is insufferable. It's not okay! And Jesus Christ the "there we goooo! Buckets!" when Evelina makes her par putt after airing out a fucking 8 footer for birdie….I can't even describe how cringe and sad that was on both her for airing the putt and the commentators on the response….

  14. 38:32 How the hell do you even miss like that? how do you griplock a putt that's 2.5 meters away so it misses the basket by a meter?
