We put the new 2022 TaylorMade Milled Grind MG3 TW – Tiger Woods wedges through their paces, while discussing the benefits of their versatile sole grinds.

For this video we use the TXG Wedge board to showcase various lies, and for the ultimate test we are also using the Bridgestone Tour B XS golf ball- the ball Tiger Woods uses, to the test for short game wedge spin and feel.

  1. I’ve just dropped on to a set of MG2’s in a clearance, brand new with the face cover still on, went on the range and chipping area immediately and love them, i was in the market for new wedges and these sure fit the bill.

  2. How does the bxs compare to the bx off the driver? How much does the Ballspeed decrease and the spin increase with similar swings?

  3. Great review and wedge test on some hard course situations…Thanks…When I look for wedges to fit into my iron game, I look at Cleveland, Hogan Equalizers, and then Mizuno T-22. These people are know for their wedge game… So depending on what iron set I use on the differenct courses, I can fit in my wedges to match…Not a Pro, Not on subsidy, and not much money to throw around, but love the game.An like most of us, Want to get Better…..And Be the Best One Can Be….

  4. I've been using vokey's for long time now and ping eye 2 wedges before that. I was thinking about getting these until I seen Ping had new eye 2 wedges coming out on April 7th =)
Pre-ordered ping Glide 4 50*(since no ping eye 2) ping glide eye 2 54* and ping glide eye 2 60*. Original ping eye 2 use to be able to lay a 54* pretty flat and hit high flop shot. Can't wait to get these =) Would be cool to see your review on them as well

  5. 10:25, disagree. The fact that they purposely dry out and nearly kill courses to “firm them up, and give the pros a challenge” mean it is fundamentally not real golf. Yes, there are courses that are firm and fast, but never to US open extent, JMO.

  6. The thing about the MG3 TW is that I have yet to see him play them. Also, he had Vokey on the range at Augusta National. Curious to see what he actually plays. I'd love to give a set of the MG2 a try.

  7. I love the conditions for a real life shot and hearing Ian talk through what he is trying to do with the different parts of the sole. Definitely learning something every short game video you guys do, thank you.

  8. I think these are great and exactly the sort of wedge I'd really love to play. As someone who plays on a mix of turfs having a versatile grind is super helpful and I feel we (the average consumer) aren't given enough options with grinds on wedges given their importance. My question is, do you recommend buying just the 60 degree to replace my current Mizuno T20 60 degree? My concern is the difference in swing weight and shaft as I bought my 50, 55 and 60 T20 wedges as a custom fit set.
