Ladies and Gentlemen, here’s finally the big show for 2021, Pops and my epic round on Payne’s Valley at Big Cedar Lodge! Definitely one of if not the most anticipated courses to open in the last couple of years, Tiger Woods design, and an absolutely spectacular demonstration of the fact that Tiger isn’t just great at playing the game, but also great at designing courses as well. This having been the only Tiger designed course I’ve ever played, I’m not sure if it’s his signature in designing a course or not, but the yardage is definitely put in places that you wouldn’t see on most courses with a healthy helping of long par 3s, but then balanced with an equal helping of reachable par 4s. At any rate, the course is just a wonderful track to play, highly recommend for any golfer heading to Big Cedar Lodge, as if that wouldn’t be on your list of tee times in the first place.
