Alice Hiluta is an Assistant Professional at Royal Mid Surrey Golf Club who took her job with the goal of increasing participation of Ladies and Juniors at the club.
Through her coaching and role, Alice has seen a great rise in female golfers at the club, ranging from beginners to experienced players. The inclusion in competition play has also had a great impact in participation and engagement within the club, this in large part due to aligning the mens and women’s competitions, rather than these being split into separate days.
The rise in inclusivity has helped the long term future of the club, this due to the rising number of women but also under-35 golfers at the club.
