This short video shows several driver shots using our Holy Grail hitting strip with our adjustable golf tee option.

Instead of using tees that sit on top of your Holy Grail hitting strip like the Tomahawk Tee (https://amzn.to/3iyXRdH) or Birtee Tee (https://amzn.to/3oxzxNl) or rubber driving range tee (https://amzn.to/3Dbs0YC), you can order our Adjustable Golf Tee option ($25), where we will drill 4 holes in your strip (for a variety of placement options, and allow for rotating the strip 180 degrees at some point), and supply you with a rubber tee holder like this which will hold any standard golf tee (we recommend plastic tees for this use).

This method works great to avoid chasing tees all over the room – a plastic tee will only rarely fly out of the rubber holder. When you have iron shots, you can leave the adjustable tee in place (we drill them about 3″ from one side).

If you use the SkyTrak launch monitor, the tee holder will need to be fairly close to the red dot. We recommend having it about 1″ closer to the unit as the dot, and about 3″ behind the dot. This will provide enough clearance for iron shots. Other launch monitors have larger pick-up zones and you can hit irons further away from the tee holder.

If you want to modify your Holy Grail strip yourself, you’ll need a 5/8″ drill bit (https://amzn.to/2YkPGu8) and rubber real-tee holders (https://amzn.to/2WEaXyA – we recommend the 1.5″ tall ones in Black color, to be the least visually distracting when hitting irons). When drilling the hole, remove your strip from the floor, place a block of wood underneath it, and start drilling from the top, going all the way through the plastic. Choose a hole location which misses the underlying foam support strips. Then insert the rubber real-tee holders from the bottom of the strip and you’ll be good to go!
