Torwoodlee Golf Club, which is marking its 125th anniversary this year, says having to close the course and clubhouse due to coronavirus restrictions has put more pressure on its already fragile finances. It’s trying to raise £10,000 to survive this period. The Borders Golf Association say many clubs in the area are in a similar position and worried they won’t make it through the crisis.
