In this video we put the brand new Garmin R10 Approach launch monitor, which retails for $599, up against the TrackMan 4, which retails for $25,000. We’ve got 27 minutes of uncut, un-edited footage showing the actual results of shots using driver, 7-iron, and pitching wedge on a calm day.

TL/DW: The Garmin R10 does a respectable job of tracking shots outdoors, with some weaknesses on measuring vertical launch angles (typically high), spin rates (typically low), and spin axis (occasional random misses). Neither unit missed reading a shot.
