Hey everyone – wanted to revisit my “TOP 5 LUXE ITEMS” (If you can only buy one item from each category – what would it be etc). I did this in 2019 and I really wanted to revisit it, see if I still agree with the items and talk about them in relation to the pandemic. Has the current global issue made luxury irrelevant? Are we still spending? Those are a few questions I thought we could chat about!
To summarise (all of this is just my opinion of course!!)
Q: Is luxe relevant?
No, but then I don’t think it was relevant even before the current global situation. Luxury is an interest. Just like golf, travel or fine dining 🙂 We can all live without it of course. But it’s something to enjoy in life, as opposed to a necessity.
Q: Are you still spending/shopping?
Yes, though I have cut it back a lot! Whilst I’m not buying very high priced luxury items, I am still spending (where I can) on the local restaurants around me, my favourite online boutiques, independent grocers and household supply stores etc.
