Here are some tips to create a safe workout:
– Make sure the person you are supporting has comfortable clothes and shoes that fit properly and are right for the activity.
– Check the workout area. Make sure there is nothing on the ground that may cause injury when exercising.
– Encourage the person you are supporting to get the technique right from the beginning, to ensure you are performing the movement correctly. They should not progress the exercise until they are able to complete the exercise with good technique.
– Exercises may be slightly uncomfortable, however, no exercise should cause pain. If this happens, the person may be performing the exercise incorrectly. In this case, stop the exercise and change the technique. If the pain persists contact us via the app or email coaching@healthbyscience.co.uk
