Part 1 of a shot-by-shot hickory golf course vlog featuring Connecticut hickory golfer Christian Williams and his host, KC hickory golfer Chris Harriman, playing the front nine at Swope Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City, MO.
While golf has been played in Swope Park since 1906, the current layout was designed by legendary golf architect A.W. Tillinghast in 1934 and restored to his original specifications in 1990. The ninth hole features one of Tillinghast’s famous “great hazards,” which you can read more about in an article by Andy Johnson on Fried Egg Golf:
