Scotty Cameron, renowned golf club maker, developed a custom-made putter for Columbus’ Tyler Early after Robby Stone nominated Tyler for the award earlier this year. Tyler, 14, is a regular at Maple Ridge Golf Course, and attends Veterans Middle School. Tyler, who lived with his grandmother while his mother was on a civilian deployment to Afghanistan last year, was the 14th kid worldwide to receive a custom putter from the “Cameron Kids” Program. Cameron selects a kid to receive a custom putter whenever a suitable nomination comes in requesting help for golfing equipment. Cameron makes putters for Titlelist and about 30 percent of all touring professionals use a Cameron putter.
