Took a ride out to the beach to see if anything was willing to bite, and the fish were fired up.
In the first part of the trip I was targeting snappers with live pilchards I cast netted at the dock. We were able to catch 3 snappers but they were all undersized.
Our next move was to the beach. The first thing I look for whenever going to the beach is the birds. We spotted a ton of birds diving and going ham on the bait, and what do you know fish were destroying the pilchards. Everything from jacks, tarpon, snook, lady fish, etc. Alyssa was able to land a nice beach snook, and we caught some drag screaming jacks! All on artificial!
Overall, had lots of fun fishing out on the beach. From here on out it’s only gonna get better. More bait is going to be moving in and that can only mean one thing…. MORE FISH!! So stay tuned for more videos!
