In this video Coach Cathcart discusses the basics of batting stance and proper tee set-up. For hitters there is not one stance or one swing that works for everyone. The hitter’s stance must be comfortable and repeatable for consistency. Each player will have his or her own individual set up based on comfort and athleticism.
Tee position is a common issue I see with young players and novice coaches. Improper tee set up can cause a lot of swing issues. Understanding the proper contact points is extremely important for a number of reasons;
first- for young hitters its proper impact position
second- location, we don’t want young players working on pitches out of the zone (particularly high)

In addition, make sure to move the tee around the zone so players do not create a one path, one height swing. Adjustments are key and must be worked on!
