Those half distances between 30 and 70 yards can be very tricky. A gap wedge can help! The first thing you need to do is to practice a repeatable half swing technique and tempo (see video). Having a gap wedge and using the half swing technique described in the video means that you can master 3 extra distances under 70 yards.
Here are my half swing distances:
Sand Wedge – 30 yards
Gap Wedge – 40 yards
Pitching Wedge – 50 yards
Please note that these yardages represent the distance that the ball will fly.
