When playing golf in wet conditions, whether it be “dew sweeping” or rain, golfers often forget the impact that water can have on a golf shot. On any given shot, if the clubface or the golf ball is wet, the performance will differ compared to the same shot in dry conditions. So, how does water impact spin?

In this video, 2nd Swing master fitter Thomas Campbell conducts a golf wedge water spin test, hitting a series of golf wedge shots with several different models in both dry and wet conditions. He then breaks down the data from Trackman to see which golf wedge retains its performance the best in wet conditions and dry conditions.
