After an amazing 18-1 start to the season and being absolutely spoiled throughout this latest stretch of Wolverine domination, this fan base had to come back to life a little, and man did it! The Fighting Illini defeat the Michigan Wolverines 76-53, the game was never close, and Michigan never got it going offensively.

Eli Brooks was the only Wolverine in double-digits with 11 points. Isaiah Livers went just 2-7 for 7 points. Hunter Dickinson looked very freshman-like and seemed confused by Kofi Cockburn’s size and stature, scoring only 6 points on 1-for-8 shooting. Franz Wagner had his worst day as a Michigan Wolverine after back-to-back 21-point efforts.
For Illinois, Cockburn got off to a slow start at 0-3 shooting, but ended up 6-10 for 12 points, so not a bad finish for him down the stretch. Trent Frazier led all scorers with 22 points on 7-18 shooting (2-5 from 3-point distance). Andre Curbelo came off the bench for the second game in a row to score 17 points. He went 6-13 against Wisconsin and followed that up with a 8-14 outing against Michigan. All in all the Illini just seemed ready and more prepared to take this one on the road in telling fashion.
