In the latest episode of ’The Unintended Receiver’, co-Hosts Jaidip Patel and Richa Patel took a trip down memory lane on the map of ‘History of Indian Ultimate’. There are handful people apart from Amberish Jaipuria who know the ins and outs of this map. So, we called upon the famously sober (yet intoxicating personality) Amberish.

We talked about format of competitions in India, background to WFDF spirit, the spirit scoring matrix, and the demolition of Flying Disc Federation of India (FDFI) and the birth of Ultimate Players’ Association of India (UPAI).

We also mulled over the future possibilities for self-officiating at pro-Ultimate leagues and funding models for national teams.

Shout out to Manu Karan, Naranyan Krishnan (Mama), Manjari, Dushyant, Wolf , Thunder, and Francias for setting us up for a path of achievements today.

Thank you Amberish Jaipuria for the many fun historical tidbits. Let’s keep sharing our rich history from one generation of players to the next.
