CHELSEA NEWS: Analyzing Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea FORMATION

Thomas Tuchel in his first 2 games in charge of Chelsea has deployed the 3-4-3 formation. In essence it really looks like a 3-2-3-2 or at times 3-2-4-1. It’s very interesting to see exactly how the formation changes with and without the ball. Furthermore, it is interesting to see how Callum Hudson-Odoi is used in this formation as a WB but really playing more as a right sided playmaker. In this video I am joined by the boys from The Chelsea Social where we discuss the following:

– Formation – defining a structure
– How the 4-3-3 created an imbalance
– Formation – with the ball
– Formation – without the ball
– How is CHO used?
– How is Mount/Havertz used?
– How is the midfield operating in this formation?
– How is the LWB/Alonso operating? Pulisic at times as a WB?
