– As an instructor and as a former player, I want to tell you the four things you must do perfectly when playing golf — not good. I want you to be perfect at these four things: I need you to be perfect with your alignment. Alignment matters because we’re always hitting towards the target. I want you to be perfect with your ball position. Your ball position is changing per club because our length of the clubs are different unless you’re DeChambeau. So don’t listen to this pricing, this isn’t for you. The third thing, posture golf is a rotational sport. So if our posture is not good, we won’t be able to rotate as efficiently. Generally when we stop rotating, eventually we’re beginning to become real armsy; when we become armsy, we lose our connection.
We lose our timing. Trouble starts to happen. The fourth thing is rhythm, our lower body and our upper body rotate in different segments. Okay? So if our rhythm’s off, because our lower body can rotate a lot less than our upper body that throws off our sequence. So synchronous means that our lower body and our upper body are synced up, that allows for our consistency in our golf swing. So all four of those things doesn’t take athleticism. It takes discipline. So again, alignment, ball, position, posture, rhythm. I need us to own those four things if you want to play the kind of golf you want to play.
