To my loyal subscribers, golf is a sport that boasts a billion dollar industry; however, you see only a few minority players who make television tournament play.
Some black men are great players, who keep their identity and culture, but need help with better access to the sport. Golf is an expensive sport period. The equipment, accessories and clothing really don’t scrap the barrel of “real” costs.
I say this to remind others that public courses give access to all players: age, color or disability; however, private country clubs play by different rules and both wealth or income has a lot to do with it exclusive rules. Yearly membership will keep you moving.
This video is about my club being broken because I was arguing with a starter who would not let me play the back nine alone, and should have suggested that I wait and go out with another playing partner. In disgust, I unstrapped my clubs from the cart and then he later suggested that I can go out with someone else who just arrived.
I then decided I may do that when I moved the cart I broke my club because I was about to leave after a ten minute argument with him. b He told me his boss in the pro shop ( woman)told him to stop me and not let me play alone. I was sIngled out for sure.
Guess what, I do see others who play who are singles. I won’t go there, read in between the lines. The course was literally empty at the end of the day.
Thank God, for public courses that try to do the right thing, too!
