Intentional Movement Practice for Golfers

For the early birds elite golfers out there who want to start their day off with some self care, while developing and practicing effortless powerful and dynamic movement patterns, this practice is for you! Join Ash Sangoram at 6AM Tuesdays and Thursdays in January for a rejuvenating body awareness practice based on 18 Pictures Qi Gong. You will experience a unique Guided Awareness Practice that will get you contemplating and sensing your body’s musculoskeletal physiology while rehearsing the golf swing.
The intention is to move while removing tension, tightness, strain and resistance to movement. But this effortlessness takes practice! We use deliberate cues for attention and awareness to evoke neuroplasticity and learning of new movement patterns. We cultivate this through a warm-up body scan (The 5 Jewels of Qi Gong) for about 10-15 minutes with club in hand and then followed by a 30 minute journey through the “18 Pictures.” This movement sequence will leave you rejuvenated, more keenly aware of your body and ready to tackle your next round with better FEEL. A club in hand with room to swing is ideal (though not required), just comfortable clothing and a little bit of space around you is all you need to participate.
