The players who are taking part in this tournament are Magnus Carlsen, Wesley So, Anish Giri, Hikaru Nakamura, Teimour Radjabov, Ian Nepomniachtchi, MVL, Levon Aronian, Alexander Grischuk, Daniil Dubov, Pentala Harikrishna and Anton Guijarro. The prize fund for the first Major on the Champions Chess Tour is $200,000, double that for Regular events like the Skilling Open, with the top prize rising to $60,000.
