Disc Golf at Etter’s Skol Ranch Part 2: Back 9 Etter’s SKOL Ranch in Florissant Colorado is a private course on private property that Tim recently discovered on his journey to rediscover his love of disc golf. Growing up playing in his home town, and after quitting playing for a few years, his love of throwing discs has resurfaced. Since we’ve moved to Colorado, and with 2020 being so weird, he has once again picked up his bag and is banging those chains. Luckily, we live in an area where private mountain courses are almost plentiful. Enter SKOL Ranch, we discovered this place on a disc golf website and decided to go for a drive. I cant tell you how glad we are that we did! Gary & Kristi Etter are generous hosts of this private 18 hole course, spread across the better part of 20 acres. Very well maintained, this course offers stunningly beautiful views of Pikes Peak, an incredible hike (not for the faint of heart, wear good hiking shoes) gains in elevation (pay attention to Hole 6, see part 1) magnificent cross valley power shots, we cant say enough about the challenging beauty of this place. In addition to the disc golfing, the Etters host an Air B&B rental on site, camping opportunities and more. This is really a must visit for the adventurous.
