HUGE Congratulations to Garrett Barlowe on hitting the first ace at a Dynamic Discs $5K/$10K Grow Disc Golf Ace Challenge event! Garrett knocked downhole 16b at Sawmills Veterans Park course with his Night Strike 3, netting him a cool $5,000.
Garrett said, “The hole was 296’, and stepping up to it, I didn’t have an ace in mind. It was a temp hole, so no one got to play it until the tournament began, so I had no thoughts of an ace. My mindset was to win the tournament. It’s my home course, and I started out with a hot round. My thought was to just get my birdie and keep trucking. When I released the disc, I thought the line looked nice, as it kept floating my first thought was PARKED but then it hit chains and I’m sure you saw the reaction and the scream!”
