I haven’t filmed myself much lately. Since this was perhaps the last time I’ll get out for some serious form work with putters I thought I’d better record some of it so I can compare how far I’ve come from last March when I started blowing up my form and starting over.
These are all 200′-230′ putter shots.
The good news is I still have a long way to go and I’m confident I can keep improving. I’m still not opening my hips as much as I could (not reaching back as much) but when I’m throwing it sure feels like I am. Next year I want to make it look more like the good players who do this.
It was a fantastic year for me and for my son (who didn’t come out today due to being sore from shooting too many half court basketball shots at school yesterday!). I went from not playing in a sanctioned event in 14 years to shooting my final 4 rounds all between 922 and 935. An unsanctioned tourney recently featured about a 950 rated round. My drives didn’t increase in distance a lot but they got way more accurate. Putting was solid as usual.
Here’s looking at 2021! In the meantime, when the weather winds down, I hibernate, play records and dye Discs. I might pop on here with some of my new dyes when I get around to them. Peace!
