There are certain clubs that seem to pose problems for a lot of players, and fairway woods are one of them. The first issue comes mostly from yourself because you have a wood in your hand and you want to hit it a long way.
Starting at ground zero, you should concentrate on learning how to sweep this club by taking half swings. Once you’ve got that down, incorporate some shoulder turn. And after you have that down, we’re going to add in some wrist hinge. You’ve now taken a simple sweeping motion and turned it into a full fairway wood shot.
