Thousands of organisations and volunteers around the world are working with refugees, all wanting to help facilitate their transition into their new communities. Sports and social clubs, schools, municipalities, humanitarian organisations are often working with the same aim, but are not working together. You or you organisation might be one of them.
ISCA Head of Projects Saska Benedicic Tomat explains why sport and physical activity can be important ways to include refugees in communities, help support their mental health and wellbeing, and create a positive way forward. And why finding ways to work together and #PlayTogether is the first step.
The MOVE Beyond project is one example of bringing sport, humanitarian organisations and refugees together to develop sport and physical activities.
