The ability to pivot properly assists the golfer in having a square delivery of the clubface into the back of the golf ball. If the golfer pivots properly leading into impact, their feet are engaged in pushing into the ground allowing for the legs and pelvis to be properly involved. The golfer can only rotate as much as the golfers body allows, setting the tone for the club head to be delivered downward into impact allowing for the clubface to be square through impact. There is no mention of the golfers hands and arms being responsible for squaring the face, this is assuming the golfers grip and skills for controlling the golf club have been developed.
