Devil’s Tower is a national monument located on the outskirts of Hulett, WY. If you’ve never visited the actual moment, you MUST give it a go! And if you’re an avid golfer or just looking to play a FANTASTIC course in the area, look no further than The Golf Club at Devil’s Tower! They have lodging accommodations, a great grill/bar, and a world-class golf course. Very very pleased with the decision to play out there.
What an absolutely gorgeous course. I lost count of how many times I used that word to describe the course; I guess I need to read a thesaurus or something. Anyway, that’s a very appropriate word for this course. I loved playing out here. The drone shots were fantastic and had my jaw on the ground in real time as I was taking the videos.
The back 9 here starts down at the club house and immediately goes straight up hill. The first 2 holes on the back side have a pretty significant elevation change to them. As you can imagine, the wind picks up once you get on top of the hill and no longer have the valley and trees to block it. That made for a lot of very difficult holes because the course was already playing long but when somehow every hole is playing dead into the wind, it gets pretty hard, pretty fast.
Chuck and I didn’t do anything special for this vlog as the course’s beauty speaks for itself; no need to complicate the vlog with weird rules for the day. Just straight up stroke play.
