Having binge-watched the entire Overhand Golf Playlist of vídeos discussing the Holy Grail of golf swing (couldn’t sleep the other night and it randomly popped up on YouTube recommendations), here are some thoughts:
1) This is what I feel when I hit the hall the best.
2) It is something I’ve done, but never been able to describe a cue that could make it repeatable.
3) Thinking about the game as being in front of you vs towards the target makes all the difference in the world.
4) It is something Colin McCarthy told me years ago and I could not grasp it for some reason. He always told me I was over-complicating it and that all sports are in front of us.
5) The way the golf club is built is what sends the ball off on the 90 tangent to our intention. Anytime I try to swing towards the target, I push off my back foot way too hard, pull with the left side, and leave the club face wide open.
6) I still need to do some testing hitting balls outside. This is one day into the experiment with this cue.
7) I showed it to my son and he grasped it instantly.
