Why Does My 6 & 5 Iron Go The Same Yardage
A lot of people stumble across the situation that once they get passed there 6 iron there isn’t a consistent difference in distance. Which is mostly caused by the ball nose diving into the ground when there isn’t enough back spin in the shot to enable the ball to climb up and carry further. This is caused by the delofting of the club face. Which can be caused by the grip or just even the wrong idea of how the swing works. So check your grip and the position of the club face at waist height and at the top of your swing. Delofting the club and with a slight over the top move will just nose dive that ball and caused loss of distance and gapping in your irons. So if you do have this problem check out the grip and clubface make those changes put the loft back on and you will get back the gapping between the 6 and 5 iron.
