Golfing in the Desert – Amman Jordan

Welcome to the Bisharat Golf Course, the only golf course in Amman Jordan, which as you can see, has no grass. This video was taken at their driving range, but the course is basically exactly the same.

The tees are either rubber mats with slits for your wooden or plastic tees, or artificial grass patches you can poke a hole through. The greens are called browns, and are made of some sort of mixture of sand and a specific type of oil. And lastly, you have to carry around a piece of artificial grass with you between the tee and the brown!

Although it doesn’t sound ideal, it actually is very challenging. If you can perfect your game here, you can probably perfect it on any other course!
