Tucked away on the Alabama gulf coast, The Grand Hotel is one of the South’s oldest resorts. Adjoining the Grand is the Lakewood Club which features 36 holes of golf available to guests. Founded in 1944, Lakewood is now part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. The original 18 hole course was designed by the acclaimed mid-century architect Perry Maxwell. Today, the Dogwood and Azalea courses attract golfers from around the South as well as elite competitions. In 2021, the club will host the US Senior Women’s Amateur for the third time.
