Harvey has the following injuries and still jams off a single figure handicap:
1. Smashed left index finger knuckle rebuilt with steel. He is a wicket keeper in cricket and the ball smashed his finger.
2. Broken left pinky finger after pretending to be Hulk Hogan ripping off a golf glove and the tip got caught in the ripping movement. Held together with steel.
3. Severed right wrist tendon from falling through a glass cabinet when he was drunk.
4. Five knee operations over two knees from rugby, water skiing, general sports wear and tear.
5 Spinal fluid drained after a vertebrae lodged into his sciatic nerve limiting his range of movement.
6. Two torn rotator cuffs playing sport in the left shoulder.
He swings it halfway back, he used to have a big Jim Furyk loop at the top of the swing and he’s always been able to chip like a mother freaker. He has a potty mouth and needs to get angry to play his best golf.
Yu’ll notice in this video, he plans his shots well and that way when he hits a miscue, the result is not a disaster so he very rarely destroys his score on any given hole. His short game keeps him out of trouble.
We started playing golf together when we were 11 which is why we have such similar games. The only difference is Harvey is more cerebral when it comes to breaking score barriers.
