Baseball drills to do by yourself at home to increase baseball performance and athleticism fast. This videos covers agility ladder patterns, hand eye coordination (juggling), fielding ground ball drills, throwing drills, and hitting drills/ batting practice for baseball and athleticism. Joe covers 51 different baseball drills all within a 13 minute baseball video. He also presents different equipment to use to increase or decrease difficulty. Joe Germaine of MULTI-SPORT MINDSET provides this collection of baseball drills that can be performed by baseball players during this time of social isolation or anytime in the future when you don’t have anyone to practice baseball with. This is great for the baseball player who wants to get extra work in after practice, before practice, or on days when everyone else is too busy to play baseball.
These baseball drills are all based in athleticism and utilize the constraints theory to create endless variety and fun. Don’t worry about mechanics just focus on executing the drill. Athleticism is defined as performing a skill in as many different ways as possible and executing no matter the situation. If you aren’t failing occasionally at practice you aren’t pushing yourself hard enough to exit your comfort zone. You don’t improve by doing things the same way over and over. You improve by being able to execute no mater the situation or the task. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting to get a different result. Better by definition is different.
I make these drills look easy so give them a shot and let me know what you think in the comments below.
