After my Mom recorded Bill and me playing one day during our August 1999 vacation (seen here: I returned with the camera myself to do a walk-through so I could show my friends back home this wonderful new basket course.
Not many people knew about Flip City just yet. This was also right about the same time Michael Wildner and I were putting McGraft Park in the ground in nearby Muskegon (with help from Tommy C. from Lansing, and another friend of ours named Tim Rausch from G.R.).
This is the original 18 Flip City layout when the baskets were fairly new if not totally new. No cement tees. A couple of trees still had their object Frisbee golf numbers on them as you will see!
Please excuse the heavy breathing at times during this video. I was hustling to beat darkness, and as you can see by hole #17 it was pretty dark.
Bill’s young children and cool dog “Brick” are featured at the beginning. I think the little girl was upset that her brother maybe had the push car and she didn’t? She appeared to be throwing a fit; she wasn’t hurt or anything.
I don’t see the trampoline on this video but I do remember Bill having one in the early years of the basket course and I got to jump on it with his kids a few times. It must’ve been a few years later because the kids were older than they are in this video.
