Axis1 putters can provide a level of feel not available in toe and face balanced putters. With the center of gravity located in the center of the striking face, the sensation and feel of their putters travels directly up the center of the shaft and into the center of your hands. Increased feel can lead to improved speed and distance control.

Toe and face balanced putters have the center of gravity located at various locations rearward from the face. As force is applied to the shaft by the hands on the forward stroke, the center of gravity can never line up with the center of the shaft, so these types of putters can not provide the same level of feeling in the hands.

In addition, location of the center of gravity behind the striking face creates torque, which is a twisting force that can interfere with alignment of the face during the stroke and at impact.
