When Scotty Cameron first came to Titleist in the mid-90s, I had been using a Ping MyDay putter. So I asked Scotty to make a putter similar to the one I was using and he machine milled with a block of stainless steel, essentially made a blueprint for the “Laguna,” AKA The FaxDay. Then around 1995-96 he made my Gamer, a thin top line, dash on a top, g for gamer stamped on it and it’s been in the bag ever since.
