When looking at the sport of golf on a very high level, the sport isn’t growing. While Top Golf has led to some growth, overall, the sport has remained stagnant. There are two reasons for this. First, there is a large barrier to entry. Even if people own a set of clubs, it doesn’t mean they have access to an affordable course that doesn’t require a seasonal membership.

Second, people often think of golf as being boring. Golf is often seen as a sport for older men who want to socialize at the country club. This misconception makes it particularly unattractive to the younger generations who are considering picking up a second sport.

Jason Richardson, the owner of Bad Birdie is looking to change this misconception that golf has to be boring.
