This was a flight that I have been meaning to do as its an easy navigation and the weather was just perfect. Seeing all the local features just shows how beautiful the area is.
Always checking the runway before I line up can feel a bit like checking the door is shut when you know it is but on this occasion, there was an aircraft so I held off lining up for him to clear the runway and reduce the issue of wake turbulence. I didn’t want to rush, I’ve made mistakes that way.
