The weather was ideal to play 18 holes which I booked via the @golfnow app again. Went into the round confident of shooting a decent score. 7 holes in I was shooting my best round post lockdown. Two balls lost on the next two holes put paid to the good run. A harshly punished hook & a shocking shank interrupted my rhythm. Aside from the 4 putt on the par 3 whilst still recovering from the shank, the putter was the star performer. Chipping was decent to begin with then faded & became scrappy on the back 9. I was hitting fairways with the 3 wood before the careless hook, then blew hot n cold thereafter. Disappointed the camera didn’t focus on the best struck 3 wood shot of the round. Driver pulled 3 times resulting in 1 decent shot. On reviewing, poor tee shots cost me a decent score. Practice planned for this week.
