Hole Details
Hole 1 : Par: 4
Hole 1, 300 Metres, Par 4 Out of bounds down the left-hand side, favour the right-hand side with your tee shot for a better angled short iron approach. Brave golfers can try to take on the dog-leg to the left, but will need to carry the trees running down the left side of the fairway. Beware of under-clubbing with your approach due to a steep bank on the front edge of the green.
The green slopes from back to front, so try to leave your approach below the hole.
Hole 2 : Par: 4
Hole 2, 312 Metres, Par 4 Out of bounds down the left-hand side, an awkward shaped green to hit requiring an accurate approach from the centre left of the fairway. Avoid the deep bunker on the front right of the green.
Hole 3 : Par: 4
Hole 3, 400 Metres, Par 4 A solid tee shot is required around the dog-leg left, leaving you with a mid to long iron to an elevated green. Avoid the thick trees on the right side of the green.
Hole 4 : Par: 3
Hole 4, 180 Metres, Par 3 Your club selection is critical depending on the wind. Favour the centre-left-hand side of the green to avoid trouble on the right with the bunker and canal.
Hole 5 : Par: 4
Hole 5, 295 Metres, Par 4 A short straightaway par 4, the water hazard down the left-hand side is out of bounds.
A relatively flat green with subtle breaks to test the finer putters.
Hole 6 : Par: 4
Hole 6, 351 Metres, Par 4 Difficult dog-leg right par 4 with out of bounds on both sides in the shape of Woollahra Oval on the right of the fairway and Mallick Hill beyond the canal on the left. This is one of the more challenging tee shots of the round and accuracy here is more important than distance. Off the tee favour centre left of the fairway as it is critical to ensure a clear shot to a large flat green.
Hole 7 : Par: 4
Hole 7, 272 Metres, Par 4 Short narrow par 4 requiring an accurate tee shot with out of bounds on the left-hand side and thick trees guarding the right. The longer hitter may have a crack at the green. The green is long and has two tiers, making club selection important on the approach shot.
Hole 8 : Par: 4
Hole 8, 323 Metres, Par 4 Avoid the out of bounds all the way down the left-hand side. The tee shot should favour left-centre to avoid overhanging branches guarding the right side approach to a green which is slightly elevated with undulation from back to front and dropping off to the right.
Hole 9 : Par: 3
Hole 9, 100 Metres, Par 3 A short hole to finish, but a tough one. From an elevated tee you are hitting a short iron to a severely undulating green surrounded by deep bunkers and out of bounds over the back. Try to keep your approach putt below the hole to avoid three-putting.
