This graphic was on screen for 10 or so seconds today and I immediately wondered what off screen yelling was happening at whatever well meaning person typed ‘rough’ instead of ‘second cut.’

Some poor low level editor at CBS is getting fed into a wood chipper in the torture room at Augusta as we speak.

If you can’t hit the driver. Go to another club. He is living and dying by his saves from bad drives right now.

Thought you weren’t allowed to call it rough. Thought it was second cut?

This is almost as bad as that time in episode 2F09, when Itchy plays Scratchy’s skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes the same rib in succession, yet he produces two clearly different tones.

You all know what happened that guy.

well, I have said elsewhere, there are some Augusta national golf club and masters traditions that are great and very awesome to have still, but some traditions and the various language that they are allowed or not allowed to use needs to get updated for modern times. Otherwise it just seems like he’s stuck up bullshit technicality that they have about what is used to describe things because I know for a fact, watching all the masters, had no problem using his following language to describe some of the things and he wasn’t penalized the same way though Robert McIntyre was, but you know that’s just like my opinion dude!

CBS using “rough,” Cam saying fans, Rory with his phone out, MacIntyre’s finger. This criminal activity is getting out of hand.

This tournament used to stand for something

When I first got into golf I thought there was a difference between second cut and rough. I thought it was what was between the fairway and the rough and they just trimmed it higher than the fairway.
