Rory McIlroy and Sam Burns are tied for the lead after one round as the Masters Tournament heads into the second round today.
The Masters Championship is live this weekend in a four-day, four-round golf tournament consisting of the best golfers in the world together at Augusta National Golf Club, one of the most revered golf courses in the world. Rory McIlroy came into this tournament after his first green-jacket win in 2025, looking to defend his championship. Currently, he is doing just that, coming out of the first round with a five-under-par score and tied for first place on the leaderboard at Augusta. He is tied with Sam Burns, who also shot a five-under-par after hitting an eagle on Hole No. 2. The top five is rounded out by three players tied at three-under-par, two strokes back from the lead.

Samuel Stevens and Sungjae Im opened the round on Tee No. 1 at 7:40 a.m. ET this morning. Viktor Hovland, Patrick Cantlay, and Alex Noren will be the last to tee off in the second round at 1:56 p.m. ET on Tee No. 1. McIlroy, Young, and Mason Howell will tee off at 1:44 p.m. ET. Patrick Reed, Tommy Fleetwood, and Akshay Bhatia will tee off at 1:08 p.m. ET. Another featured group, Bryson DeChambeau, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele will tee off at 1:20 p.m. ET.
