I received a Lazrus Z2.5 ZT putter Royal Blue head yesterday, 7th April! It was from the 3rd batch produced this year, which have all sold out, dispatch day was supposed to be 10th and it arrived in 4 days from Utah! Your mate Gary was raving about his (red one), it did well in the revealer! You should get together with him and put it up against the LAB putters!

I have a DF3. IMHO NONE of teh LAB putters need an insert There's a simple method that will totally eliminate the need for an insert on any of the LAB putteres.
Method #1. For slow greens and uphill putts just grip the putter a bit firmer. The result is EXACTLY the same as havin the insert.
Method #2. for fast greens and downhill putts just grip teh putter a bit softer.
I've tested this with a friend who has an OZ.1i LAB putter (and is a 5 hcp player) with the two of us using both putters, and me not telling him about the grip pressure change, and 20 putts each with each putter. Naturally his putts with his putter were more consistent than with mine. However,my putts with my DF3 were way more consistent than with his, not because I'm a better putter (I'm a 25 hcp) but because with my putter I was varying my grip pressure for each putt. He couldn't understand why putts, especially distance control, with my DF3 were way more consistant thanhis putts using both putters. After I explained about changing grip pressure depending on green speed, uphiill or downhill, he tried it with my DF3 and he was surprised at the difference such a simple change made. Obvioulsy with an insert in his putter he had to play around with teh grip pressure until he was satisfied with teh distance control, and accuracy naturally, and wished he's known about this beforehand because he wouldn't have spent the extra money to get his putter with an insert.
