Getting a new set of clubs delivered today. It's a combo set with 7-PW irons and 5-6 hybrids. Adding it to my 4 hybrid and I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes. The 4 has been much easier to hit than the 4 iron. Hoping the 5 and 6 are just as easy and more confidence inspiring.

I built up a 9w just for fun and watching Tommy game one. Ping 430 with Oban Kiyoshi Purple 85//X and yeah it's FUN! I swing it around 100mph and carry 205y it's a par 3 cheat code goes 140' high lands >55°. My buddies gave me 💩 for it at first but now hate when I play it hahah
I tend play shorter courses. I am in the Northeast US. My par 3 tend only be only about 140 yards or less.i do the Callaway Apex UW 21 degree instead of a 4 Iron though.
I have a black ops 7 wood, goes in to orbit stops quickly on the green.

I am a 6 index now in my mid 50"s having been around scratch or 1 most of my days and I have removed the 5 iron from the bag and I now have a PXG 3, 4 and 5 hybrid. Ego has been hung up years ago and I have no guilt at all when I launch a 5 hybrid into the middle of the greens when my mates are still torturing themselves with longer irons. No pictures on a scorecard. Brilliant video Chris, well done to you and Dave.
Nah, I've just started striking my long irons much better! Driver and 3 wood are coming out the bag ahead of 3 and 4 iron! 😂
Since retiring I have focused a lot more on my game. My problem clubs started with my 6 iron. I tried senior flex graphite for 6 and 5 as was amazed at the difference. Now I’m hitting the ball with higher penetrating shots. My confidence level skyrocketed and I’m able to hit more greens in regulation. I also ditched the hybrid and use a 7 wood and 5 wood and 43.5 inch driver. All of these moves helped.
Tempted to drop my 4 iron for my 7 wood… I love the 7 wood, but in wind the 4-iron's lower flight is still handy so I'll keep it around for those days.
I had a bag of woods 3,4,5,7,& 9 15,18,21,24, & 27 degrees of loft. I was hitting the 7 & 9 wood great for a while. The same as your 9 & 11 woods. I have the Cleveland Halo XL Full Faced irons and tried and added the Hy-Woods. I hit the Hy-Woods better than the traditional woods or hybrids.
So now I carry Driver 3+, 4+, 6+ Hy-woods Nd the #5 is a Golfwrx 23 degree Hy-Way club. This one is my money club! Then I go 6 iron to lob wedge. This bag is what suits me the best.
Just recently added a 5 hybrid in place of my five iron to get more higher trajectory.
