I have a golf sim that I rent out to parties. Currently we use the Garmin approach10 and it has horrible connection issues. I don’t need anything that is killer on stats just something people can use for fun and is super reliable with connections. I am looking at these two skytraks what would y’all recommend?

I currently use awesome golf sim if that makes a difference.

Just say no, i have that st+ and also have horrible connection issues.

Your R10 provided it sits in the centre of the mat will be able to collect data from left and right handed people as is rear situated. The Skytrak is a side unit requiring a change over for left and right handed golfers.

For a relatively “cheap” $500 unit I like it a lot, but I do have to reboot both the Skytrak and app at least 1-2 times per hour of use.

  4. Square LM is rock solid in my experience, no connection issues in 14 months for me, used daily. It’s a side unit though, so you have to move it for lefties.

If you’re going to be indoors, get a Square. No connection issues, rarely get a no or misread, putting is great too. I had an OG Skytrak and would get a not insignificant amount of no reads. Squares software is decent too if you want to change up from Awesome golf.

Party rental ? Lefty and righty’s , and you want something that goes beside the ball ? Big mistake.

Stick to ones that go behind it.
