JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Junior Amy Han turned in one of the most impressive tournaments of her collegiate career, finishing runner-up at the GSU Invitational at Rivermont Golf Club on Tuesday.
Han recorded just one bogey in her first 43 holes of the tournament and held a 2-stroke lead with four holes to play before settling for a tie for second among 88 golfers. She posted a 3-under 213, carding a 2-over 74 on Tuesday after recording rounds of 70 and 69 on Monday.
BU placed 13th as a team, posting a plus-70 319 with scores of 319-296-319.
Junior Hibiki Adachi, competing as an individual, was plus-13 for the tournament with rounds of 77, 75 and 77 to finish tied for 40th.
Freshman Monica Wu finished tied for 51st at 17-over at 233 (82-71-80) while classmate Sophia Zhang finished in 71st with a 26-over 242 (82-82-78).
Playing as an individual, junior Madison Takai was tied for 76 at plus-32 (81-80-87), three strokes ahead of senior Annika Manjunath, who put together a 85-79-87–251 to place 80th.
Freshman Wendy Li posted a 258 (86-77-95) and finished in 83rd.
BU will return to action on Easter Sunday (April 5) when it opens play in the three-day Ironwood Invitational hosted by East Carolina.
